CONTENT DEVELOPER – KICKSTART PROGRAMME

A great opportunity for a Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing graduate looking to gain B2B content writing experience. We are looking for a bright, articulate, and creative candidate happy to have their own projects to progress. This role will dramatically increase the chosen candidate’s knowledge of content writing in a professional environment, international marketing, and B2B press promotion.

Fashionizer Couture Uniforms designs bespoke uniforms for luxury hotel and spas worldwide. We have two brands that target two different audiences, one catered to the hospitality sector and the other the spa and wellness industry.

Fashionizer has run a successful internships programme for the past 25 years, and we are delighted that the Kickstart programme will enable us to continue this tradition this year in spite of the pandemic. The role will include 25 hours work per week, based on minimum wage as per government rules for the Kickstart programme. It will involve both remote working and on-site work and the intern will have their own projects to manage and be responsible for meeting deadlines, so being organised is very important.

 

Tasks will include:

      • Content writing for both our brands: Fashionizer and Fashionizer Spa:
        • Developing blogs,
        • Editorial writing and press releases
        • Social media messaging,
        • Drafting website copy
        • Proposal and other marketing materials
      • Establishing and maintaining contacts with trade and general press; developing a comprehensive media list that identifies the most appropriate contacts.
      • Distributing press releases, social media messages, and dealing with enquiries from the press.
      • Conducting market research and identifying publicity opportunities
      • Support to the marketing team by creating cohesive content that is in line with the brand’s agenda and schedule and connecting to influencers.
      • Monitoring competitor news and research, drafting case studies.
      • Help with research on upcoming stories.
      • Involvement in production meetings, organising and attending promotional events, and other company activities.
      • Occasional admin tasks.
      • Maintaining marketing documents and filing (digital and physical)

 

The skills we are looking for are listed below, please note that only candidates who can demonstrate the following will be considered:

      • Undergraduate degree preferably in Journalism, PR, or Communications
      • Excellent English grammar and literacy (English must be your native language).
      • Good communications skills.
      • Fluent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
      • A genuine interest in luxury fashion, wellness & travel, or hospitality.
      • Self-motivated, willing to learn new things, and able to multitask.
      • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
      • Able to work independently and with a team.

 

You need to be happy with pressure and working to deadlines, we have a busy team and a demanding and creative environment where no day is the same. Reliability is also important, as part of the time you may be working remotely. We are a small company – so we are looking for a team player, you may be asked to help in other departments from time to time.

PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER -KICKSTART PROGRAMME

The role will involve the development of imagery to show our company and products at their best. We are looking for a bright, creative candidate with a good level of technical skill, willing to work as part of our marketing team. This role will dramatically increase the chosen candidate’s knowledge of creating imagery within a high-end professional environment,

      • Shooting and editing video for social media and our websites.
      • Editing existing imagery to create new content.
      • Developing new content ideas to further engagement with our imagery.
      • Conducting market research and identifying publicity opportunities
      • Support to the marketing team by creating cohesive imagery that is in line with the brand’s agenda.
      • Monitoring competitor imagery.
      • Help with research on upcoming stories and mood boards.
      • Involvement in production meetings, organising and attending promotional events, and other company activities.
      • Maintaining imagery in an organised manner and filing accurately.

      • Undergraduate degree including photography.
      • Knowledge of still and moving image capture/manipulation.
      • Basic lighting & graphic design skills
      • Knowledge of Adobe suite and video editing softwares.
      • Good communications skills.
      • An interest in luxury fashion, wellness & travel, or hospitality.
      • Self-motivated, willing to learn new things, and able to multitask.
      • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
      • Able to work within a team.

FASHION DESIGN ASSISTANT – KICKSTART PROGRAMME

A great opportunity for a Fashion design graduate with good illustration skills to start their career.  We are looking for a creative candidate with good drawing skills and experience in using adobe suite for presentation drawings. This role will dramatically increase the chosen candidate’s knowledge of applying visual research in design and developing concepts from ideas to workable garments.

The role will include 25 hours work per week, based on minimum wage as per government rules for the Kickstart programme. It will involve both remote working and on-site work and the intern will have their own projects to manage and be responsible for meeting deadlines, so being organised is very important.

Tasks will include:

      • Design research
      • Creating mood and presentation boards
      • Assistance with the development of design elements
      • The creation of visual marketing materials.
      • Garment specification drawings
      • Quality control of garments.
      • Sewing of toiles, samples, and alterations
      • Help with labelling of garments and tidying the office and workroom.
      • Assistance with fittings
      • Assisting with production packaging, unpacking
      • Involvement in production meetings
      • Occasional admin tasks.

 

The skills we are looking for are listed below, please note that only candidates who can demonstrate the following will be considered:

      • Degree in Fashion design
      • Good illustration skills, both hand-drawn and digital.
      • Advanced level use of Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign.
      • Ability to develop ideas and respond differently to a variety of briefs.
      • Some garment construction knowledge and sewing skills will be required.
      • Organized and tidy with ability to pay attention to detail.
