NJ Role at Fashionizer: Sample Machinist

NJ’s role of Sample Machinist sees her produce both spa garments and bespoke uniform samples for Fashionizer, alterations for clients and fittings for new hotel openings. Occasionally she works on made-to-measure garments for a variety of shapes and sizes. NJ’s favourite part of working at Fashionizer is being able to create unique, unusual, and exciting designs.

Life Before Fashionizer

NJ has been developing her garment creation skills since the age of 20, when she first started sewing in college. Originally from Mongolia, NJ moved to London ten years ago with her family of three children, for a fresh start – and what a fresh start it’s been! Before joining Fashionizer, NJ worked freelance on a wide variety of projects, which included creating high quality fashion evening dresses and costumes for television and film studios.

Insider’s guide to NJ

NJ loves spending time outdoors – she enjoys camping with her family and yoga on the beach when she can. NJ has already started passing on her skillset to the next generation by teaching her daughter how to sew in her spare time. Perhaps there’s a future Fashionizer team member in the making!
