BN Role at Fashionizer: Senior Pattern Cutter
As creative pattern cutter B manages the production of all patterns and samples with the help of her team of five, whom she leads with her exceptional organisational skills.
Life Before Fashionizer
B has a degree in Pattern Cutting and Draping from Dublin’s Grafton Academy and trained in Gerber and CAD pattern software at the London College of Fashion. B’s first roles in the fashion industry were as Production Coordinator for Pamella Roland in New York, and later as Garment Technologist for UK heritage brand Jack Wills. One of Fashionizer’s longest serving employees, she originally joined the company in 2009 as Debbie’s assistant, moving to sales where she oversaw the major rollout of the luxury uniform launch for the opening of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London. However, B’s real passion remained pattern cutting she returned after a three-year break to Fashionizer, during which time she honed her skills working as a pattern cutter for design houses and private clients.

B has an eye for couture detailing to rival even the most discerning A-list stylist. She is highly skilled in technical beading and embroidery and loves to experiment with draping. She is an anglophile, a fan of European designers such as Coco Chanel and Valentino, and knowledgeable about Tudor history. She is often to be seen adorned in some of her fantastic collection of costume jewellery, wearing a glamorous (usually black) outfit while drinking a diet coke.
