Fashionizer: An example of British qualityReading Time: < 1 minute
We are still slightly flushed with excitement after the visit to the Fashionizer offices by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Skills and Innovation.
The ministers took some time understanding the business of designing and producing hospitality and spa uniforms, including talking to our pattern cutter Baharak and observing our packing and distribution processes. DPM Nick Clegg seemed particularly keen to learn more about our exclusive Cotton Performance Fabric and used the touch test to verify its high quality – as our picture shows.
The visit coincided with a government announcement that is to invest a further £250 million in a scheme that supports lending to small- and medium-sized businesses. Fashionizer was one of the first companies to benefit from the scheme – and we are seeing some great results.
Nick Clegg said: “Fashionizer is a superb example of how small businesses are investing, growing and demonstrating excellent British quality on the world stage. The team are incredibly proud and enthusiastic about what they do, and rightly so.”
To top an eventful day, we also made an appearance on the Channel 4 evening news. Check out our blog tomorrow…
