The Project

Following over ten years of collaboration with Six Senses Hotels Resorts and Spas, supplying spa uniforms to 30 of the brand’s spas globally, The award-winning luxury hospitality group has recently expanded its hotel reach to include many new locations worldwide. Fashionizer was invited to design the new, luxury staff uniforms for their first hotel, in Israel, the Six Senses Resort in Shaharut, Israel, which opened in 2021.

Ten years in the making, the boutique resort is located deep in the Negev Desert and offers a seamless blend of artful pampering and stunning views. The architecture – a modern fusion of local culture and Israeli artisanship – is designed to preserve the desert’s natural surface and align with its topography. Uniforms required had to look be in keeping with this environment and the brand’s focus on sumptuous sustainability and purposeful travel.

Fashionizer’s Solution

An understanding of the brand values manifests itself in the design of the uniforms. For the Shaharut project, Fashionizer has followed the overall design concept and embraced the history, colours and local culture of the desert. The concept includes one look for all hosts across the departments, with changes for day and evening. Tunic, trouser and dress ensembles have been drawn up in a subtle pink-beige hue that’s reminiscent of the striking surrounding sands, and this is complimented with black for evening. Management have jackets all made in simple loose fitting clean and simple styles that are suitable for the warm desert climate and easy to fit and wear.
