The Project
L’oscar takes an historic Arts and Crafts building – a former Baptist church – and transforms it into an opulent and distinctive hotel in the heart of London. Acclaimed French architect and interior designer Jacques Garcia has stayed true to the heritage of the building, marrying existing features with a modern approach. The result is sumptuous, seductive – and individual. Fashionizer was invited to create a full bespoke uniform programme for the hotel’s opening.
L’oscar is a unique hotel proposition and it needed innovative uniforms to match. With couture fashion as a start point, elegance and style were essential. At the same time, l’oscar wanted to redefine the role of the uniform; instead of a classic, hierarchical approach to garments, the staff can choose from a range of ‘looks’.
