Staff are memorably and beautifully accoutred in uniforms that variously echo both the Chelsea style of Mary Quant and the Swinging Sixties (bold checks), and that of Oscar Wilde (tweed; velvet jackets). The doormen in particular cut a splendid dash in their bright red overcoats.
