The Brief
The project from London’s distinctive Chateau Denmark Hotel, ‘Thirteen’ is a bar that encapsulates all the hedonistic glamour of Denmark Street’s rock ‘n’ roll history. Found only a stone’s throw from Chateau Denmark itself, ‘Thirteen’ captures the raucous energy of Denmark Street and its musical history through DJ sets, live music, and even impromptu performances.
Inside, a seductive sanctuary of sultry lighting, luxurious décor and an opulent grand bar awaits, where attentive staff serve imaginative cocktails with effortless finesse.
Fashionizer was invited to create a range of bespoke staff uniforms for Thirteen, with a brief to capture the bar’s decadent charm, reflecting its sultry colour scheme and lavish attention to detail.
Fashionizer's Uniform Solution
Fashionizer drew on the gothic glamour of Thirteen’s luxurious interior to design its bespoke range of uniforms. Flattering silhouettes and contemporary outfits are finished with vintage details that reflect the bar’s nod to its neighbourhood’s history. Elegantly cut jackets feature exaggerated shoulders, recalling the fashions of Denmark Street’s rock’n’roll heyday. Jumpsuits feature delicate velvet trims, while imitation leather trousers are worn with velvet braces.
The Outcome
Fashionizer provided each part of the team at Thirteen with a different look; to invoke an elegant sense of gothic style and opulence from the moment someone sets foot in the bar. Managers wear jackets with exaggerated shoulders, with black voile shirts and imitation leather trousers to keep things sleek and stylish. The waiting staff are in velvet-trimmed jumpsuits for women, and shirts with imitation leather trousers for men. The jumpsuits and shirts both come in the same stylish red and black print, both with the bar’s large fallen angel logo on the back for an eye-catching flourish. Bar staff wear red and black print shirts with imitation leather trousers and black velvet braces.
The continuity of the colour scheme, the luxurious details and the high-quality fabrics were all carefully considered, chosen deliberately to evoke the glamour and elegance of Chateau Denmark’s Thirteen
