The Brief
Six Senses Hotels Resorts and Spas is a global brand synonymous with a luxury experience that is authentic, personal and deeply sustainable. Founded in 1995, it pioneered responsible luxury in the hospitality industry, proving that world-class wellness experiences could be delivered in harmony with local communities and ecosystems. In 2013, under new ownership, the brand refreshed its corporate identity, renewing its focus on sustainability, local biodiversity and global growth.
The company focused on establishing consistently high standards across its operations while building partnerships with businesses that shared its ethos. High-end sustainable staff uniforms were a key aspect of the new brand identity, reflecting Six Senses’ values and the geographical diversity of its global portfolio. Fashionizer was appointed for its expertise in the spa uniform sector and its proven track record in developing organic, natural fibre textiles.
Fashionizer's Uniform Solution
When Six Senses first approached Fashionizer, the company had already developed a unique fabric suitable for spa environments under its spa uniform division. It had also accumulated extensive sizing knowledge, as the spa uniforms had been purchased by clients in over 40 countries. The Six Senses contract was Fashionizer’s first global staff uniform programme, involving the rollout of a single branded design concept across multiple territories.
The uniforms were inspired by the brand’s colour palette of bright olive, pebble grey and pearl white — colours that feel fresh and natural, as well as practical in spa environments, and in keeping with the Six Senses identity. Fashionizer’s exclusive organic CPF fabric forms the foundation of the Six Senses sustainable uniform collection, chosen for its natural properties and suitability for spa environments.
The Outcome
The Six Senses Spa range encompasses skirts, trousers, jackets and tunics for therapists and reception staff of both sexes; the jacket silhouette reflects the brand’s Thai origins, while the tunics are designed to allow unrestricted movement throughout — essential for the extensive range of spa treatments offered.
Over a decade on, with Six Senses now part of the IHG portfolio, Fashionizer continues to supply the same garments to spas from France to Fiji — proof that a trusted partnership and consistent service, built on considered design and quality materials, truly stand the test of time.
