The Brief
Situated within President’s Park, Ned’s Club Washington — The Ned’s fourth outpost after London, New York, and Doha, occupying the top three floors of the historic Walker Building, and offering breath-taking views of iconic landmarks such as The White House, The National Mall, and Washington Monument. This latest project reflects an established partnership between Fashionizer & The Ned, founded on trust, shared values and a commitment to thoughtful design and craftsmanship.
Since 2017, when Fashionizer was first appointed to develop uniforms for the landmark launch of The Ned London — transforming the historic Midland Bank into one of the capital’s most luxurious locations — the collaboration has evolved into a long-term relationship grounded in mutual understanding and an unwavering dedication to quality.
The Solution
Fashionizer’s work for Ned’s Club Washington D.C. builds on this ethos. Seamlessly blending timeless tailoring updated from the uniforms designed originally for The Ned London in 2017, blending practical functionality with the space’s refined character. Subtle additions — such as a sage green wrap style dresses, classic preppy green knitwear for the rooftop staff and a custom tie featuring the Ned’s Club horse motif — ensure brand integrity.
The Results
Every element of the design was carefully considered, including new outfits as well as revamped patterns for iconic designs (including pinstripe shirts and the Ned’s iconic black dresses for food and beverage waiters. The end result is a fusion between the 1920’s-30 aesthetic of both premises with a modern dining experience, a contemporary approach which is perfectly suited to the Ned.
